How to Program a Chevy Key Fob

Now that you know where to get a new key fob, are you ready to program it? Luckily, the Chevy key fob programming process is simple and can likely be done in your own Brush garage. 1. Using your physical key on the new key fob, unlock your vehicle.
2. With all the doors closed, insert your key into the ignition without starting your vehicle.
3. On the driver’s side door, press and hold the unlock button.
4. Turn your key to the “On” position, then off, then back on, and back off once more. This should be done in a singular motion.
5. Let go of the unlock button on the driver’s side door. If done correctly, you’ll hear the door locks lock and unlock automatically.
6. On the key fob, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons. You should hear the door locks lock and unlock automatically once more.
7. To complete the programming sequence, re-insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “On” position.
8. Your new key fob should now be programmed!
